McKeon on ‘Why they Call me Buck’

Rep. Howard McKeon (R-Calif.) was bestowed with his nickname, “Buck,” — after Buck Rogers — shortly after his birth, and now the next generation of McKeon’s family has taken to using the name as well.

“My dad, he was kind of a cowboy, he wanted to name me Buck. I was his first son. And my mother worked on him for nine months and finally said, ‘What about Howard?’ But they’ve always called me Buck. Some nicknames stick. Now I’ve got a nephew Buck. I’ve got a couple of grandsons named Buck. We’re spreading it out.”  — Buck McKeon

Comments on TRICARE

” … it does not go far enough to protect TRICARE from the ravages of ObamaCare.” — Buck McKeon

McKeon Lies to Constituents about Health Care Reform

“Everything my constituents dislike is still in the majority’s health care bill: billions in new taxes on small businesses and families, over $1 trillion in new Federal spending, a health care czar to make health care decisions for families, a Federal mandate to buy health insurance, hundreds of billions in Medicare cuts, expanding access to abortion, and sleazy backroom deals.”  — Buck McKeon

Rep. McKeon refers to Hispanics as ‘the Latino people’

We’re not making this up. Watch the video; he actually says he worked with “the Latino people.” He apparently has a problem saying “Latinos” or “Hispanics.”

He probably can’t get himself to say “Jews,” either. Or “Diversity.”

Better not let your Santa Clarita Minutemen cronies know you speak Spanish, Buck. They’re liable to send you back across the border.

Fortunately, the rest of us won’t have to send you that far to get rid of your “estupido ass.” You will be defeated in November. After this year, you will no longer be an official embarrassment to the voters of your district.

The Buck Stops Now.

Comments on ‘Death Panels’

“…your doctor is required by unelected government bureaucrats to tell you of the proper way to wind down your life and enter hospice care. You may be in perfect health, but the government entered your conversation with you and your doctor and determined that you should really be preparing for the end of your life. This is just one single intrusion on page 424 of this thousand-page bill.”

Buck’s Bizarre Comments on H.R. 1, the No Child Left Behind Act

“… I was an animal husbandry student in college, and I learned that they did weigh hogs before they took them to market. You have to test to find out how things are doing, and you had to weigh the hogs to find out if what you were feeding them was appropriate.

With annual testing and appropriate reports to parents and teachers, problems can be found before it is too late to fix them…” — Buck McKeon
